TIPS TO CARE FOR YOUR MULBERRY SILK PRODUCTS

Mulberry silk is a delicate fabric that needs to be carefully looked after in order to preserve its quality and longevity. Carry on reading to see our recommendations.

We use a specially developed fabric made with the highest grade of Mulberry Silk (6A) to make our pillowcases, scrunchies and sleep masks. This means that our products are made of high-quality silk, are durable and designed to last. Because of this, our products are machine-washable on a delicate cold wash (up to 30ºC degrees). However, we recommend that you wash our pillowcases by hand, whenever possible.

MACHINE-WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Turn your pillowcase inside out and place it inside our mesh laundry bag. For scrunchies and sleep masks, place directly inside the bag.

2. Add your favourite delicate-friendly detergent.

3. Wash on a silk or delicates cycle at 30ºC or below.

4. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat or hang to dry. Avoid direct sunlight.

5. You can iron your pillowcase to keep the shiny silky feeling. Please use a low setting on your iron, if your iron has a silk setting, use this. Iron while the pillowcase is still slightly damp, then hang to dry on a padded hanger or lay flat.

HAND WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fill a clean sink or small tub with lukewarm water and a small amount of delicate-friendly detergent. Submerge your pillowcase or other silk product. Lightly agitate for a few minutes and rinse well.

2. Handle with care. After rinsing, gently squeeze out excess water. Don't twist the silk as it can damage the fabric.

3. Do not tumble dry. Lay wet silk flat onto a clean, absorbent towel and roll it up in the towel to rid excess moisture. Unroll and repeat using a second dry towel, then lay flat on a drying rack or dry towel.
